Yours words Or the lack of words pierces through my heart like the icicles in winter   Words of frustration and of blame that divorced the summer warmth   And words of me removed, where care and concern was once abundant

Inside and outside Lies a gate in between Which I have the keys to Yet I don’t This is a gate that was not meant to be opened Not without an invitation Inside, she stares out of the window with a poignant smile Outside, I wait for the key that was once mine

“The rain is good”, said the taxi driver “It washes the dust away so we might breathe afresh”   “Yea”, I replied with a stoic face And I wonder if I should walk in the rain with you,   So that we might start afresh
